Bird Haven Chocolate

In this first garden-to-bar collaboration,  verbena meets 72% bittersweet chocolate, single origin from the Dominican Republic. For those who like a dark that’s more delicate. Ingredients: 72% bittersweet chocolate (cacao beans, pure cane sugar, cocoa butter, soya lecithin, vanilla beans), home gown  verbena.  Only ships within the USA.

Why is a jewelry designer making and selling chocolate? Well... It all started at a New Jersey farmers’ market when Janet was delivering her flower bouquets to be sold.* Within her vision ... a temptation: a stand selling small-batch locally made chocolate bars. She tasted one and swooned. Immediately a light went off. Wouldn’t this chocolate be fab infused with sweet herbs that grow in my garden?

If you buy one, you’ll make Janet’s lifelong dreams come true.

And when the verbena runs out, so do the bars. This is what designers would call a limited edition.

*In actuality, it started much earlier when a sassy teenage Janet harbored dreams of becoming a chocolate maker. So much for becoming a doctor or lawyer.
